Data Collection and Usage

This extension does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with external servers. Your privacy is our priority. All data is stored locally on your device.

Information We Store Locally

The extension uses Chrome's local storage to save your preferences and configurations. This data includes:

Custom Filters: Filter names and GitHub search queries you create (e.g., "My PRs", "Bug Reports")
Branch Favorites: Up to 5 branch names per repository that you mark as favorites
Theme Preference: Your choice between light and dark mode
Default Filters: Pre-configured filter templates for common GitHub searches

Features and Data Usage

Custom Filters: Allows you to create and save custom GitHub search filters for issues and pull requests. Filter names and queries are stored locally.

Branch Favorites: Enables you to mark up to 5 branches as favorites per repository. Branch names are stored locally and organized by repository.

Compare Favorites: Provides quick access to your favorite branches when comparing branches on GitHub. Uses the same branch favorites data.

Theme Support: Remembers your preference for light or dark mode across the extension interface.

Data Location and Synchronization

All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. If you have Chrome sync enabled, this data may be synchronized across your other Chrome browsers, but it remains under your control and is not transmitted to any external servers.

Third-Party Access

No third parties have access to your data. The extension only interacts with GitHub.com to provide the filtering and branch management functionality. We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to any external services.

Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time by:

Removing individual filters through the extension popup
Removing branch favorites by clicking the star icon next to branch names
Clearing all extension data through Chrome's extension management page
Uninstalling the extension (which removes all stored data)

Permissions

The extension requires the following permissions:

Storage: To save your custom filters, branch favorites, and theme preferences locally
Active Tab Access: To inject the filtering interface on GitHub pages
